Quick Navigation Diagnostic Software Go Top Just wonder if you have found a solution for your trouble yet as I am too having exact same problem as you describe above. MrToSlo, I am having the same interface with yours accept my MAXIM chip is 0035 instead of 0036. I'm using this in conjunction with a Belkin F5U409 usb to serial adapter.Ĭhip in the pic above shows a MAXIM MAX232CWE 0036 I apologize if this is a redundant question, but i have not been able to find an answer.įirst link under the "2nd choice: BMW INPA EDIABAS K-Line Serial Interface (i.e., RS232 K-Line)" section. My question is how to i modify the cable i have to detect ignition and battery? Now through the various threads i've read, i'm assuming i have to modify the cable i have in order for this to work. However, whenever i try to connect to my car using GT1 to view (car memory for example) or diagnosis, i get an error along the lines of ".ignition not on/detected.pin 15." or something very similar to that. With GT1 using VMware, the software is setup correctly per David Mc's post here. I'm able to connect to my car via INPA and read memory, status, air bags, car info, etc but the battery and ignition show OFF. I have EDIABAS 6.4.7, INPA 5.02, EasyDis and GT1 v44 installed on my laptop (Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit).
